The questions we get.
Reservations, dietary, kids, private events, gift cards — the answers to the questions Marisol gets every week.
About the restaurant
How long have you been open?
March 2020. Six years.
Who’s in the kitchen?
Chef-owner Sage Ellsworth runs the kitchen with six line cooks. Sommelier Eli Marin runs the wine program. GM Marisol Garcia runs the front of house.
Is the menu the same year-round?
Toast lineup stays mostly consistent. Plates and salads rotate seasonally; the wine list rotates weekly by-the-glass. The menu changes when the farms change — usually Tuesdays.
Reservations + visiting
Do I need a reservation?
Strongly recommended for dinner Friday through Sunday and any holiday weekend. Walk-ins welcome at the 8-seat bar (first-come). Brunch reservations recommended Saturday and Sunday.
Can I cancel my reservation?
Yes, anytime through email or phone. We hold seats for 15 minutes past the reservation time; please call if you’re running late.
Are kids welcome?
Yes. We have high chairs, and the toast menu is kid-friendly. Brunch is the easiest service for kids; dinner gets quieter after 7.
Is the patio open?
Summer only — typically June through September depending on weather. 12 seats, first-come.
Menu + dietary
Do you have gluten-free options?
Limited. The bread program is the heart of the menu, but we have salads, soups, plates without toast (charcuterie, marrow, salt cod, salads), and we can make most cocktails gluten-free. We don’t currently bake gluten-free bread.
Vegetarian or vegan?
Multiple vegetarian options every service; one vegan option always available (toast or salad). Tell Marisol when you book.
Allergies?
Tell us when you book and again when you order. The kitchen is small — we can adjust most preparations.
Can I see the wine list ahead of time?
Bottles change too often to publish a current PDF; by-the-glass and flights are at /menu/wine. Email Eli through the contact formif you’d like to plan a bottle for a special meal.
Ordering + delivery
Can I order online?
Yes, pickup only — see /order. Pickup takes 30 to 45 minutes most evenings.
Do you deliver?
Not through this site. DoorDash, UberEats, and Instacart handle delivery — see where to find us.
Gift cards?
Yes, in $25, $50, $100, and $250 denominations. Email Marisol or buy in person.
Private events
Can I rent the whole restaurant?
Yes — Tuesday and Wednesday (our closed nights), or select Sunday afternoons. $4,800 minimum. Marisol runs all event planning; see /private-events.
What’s the difference between a Long Table and a Buyout?
Long Table is 6 to 16 guests in a corner of the main dining room during normal service. Buyout is the whole room for you only.
